UFC 110 – Nogueira VS. Velasquez takes place this Saturday, February 21st in sunny Sydney, Australia.  In the UFC’s maiden voyage to the lonely continent, former UFC and PRIDE Heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will take on young gun Cain Velasquez.  The co-main event will showcase Wanderlei Silva’s first foray into the Middleweight division under the Zuffa banner as he takes on former TUF winner and coach Michael Bisping.

UFC 110 is interesting from a sports betting perspective because it’s marked by a feeling of “win or you’re out”.  Several fighters on this card are in serious slumps, and guys like Stephan Bonnar, Keith Jardine, Wanderlei Silva and Mirko Filipovic sorely need a victory.  This sort of desperation should absolutely factor into your betting strategy, as there is rarely something more dangerous than a man with his back against a wall.

UFC 109 – Relentless is going down this Saturday, February 6th in Las Vegas.  The main event pits one UFC Hall of Famer against another as former UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight champion Randy Couture takes on former UFC Heavyweight and PRIDE Grand Prix champion Mark Coleman.  In addition, the next contender for the UFC Middleweight belt will be decided as Nate Marquardt squares off against Chael Sonnen.

From a betting perspective, this is the UFC first card in a while to have 5 fights hovering around the -400/+300 mark.  With that being said, there are a few strong betting opportunities to look for this weekend.  As per the future format of MMAMoneyLine’s predictions, I will only cover the fights that have betting value.  Here are MMAMoneyLine’s betting recommendations for UFC 109.

Strikeforce – Miami takes place this Saturday, January 30th in…well you don’t need me to tell you where it’s at now do you?  Two belts will be on the line this weekend, as Nick Diaz takes on DREAM’s Marius Zaromskis for the vacant Strikeforce Welterweight belt and Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos defends her Strikeforce Women’s Middleweight belt against Marloes Coenen.  Strikeforce – Miami will also mark the Strikeforce debut for pro wrestling star Bobby Lashley and NFL standout Herschel Walker.  Should be an interesting night of fights (and entertainment).

As per the future format of MMAMoneyLine’s predictions, I will only cover the fights that have betting value.  This card in particular has a few live dogs to discuss.  Without further adeiu, here are my betting recommendations and fight analysis for Strikeforce – Miami.

UFC Fight Night 20 – Maynard VS. Diaz takes place this Monday, January 11 in Fairfax, Virginia.  The main event features a Lightweight tilt when top contender Gray Maynard takes on the always dangerous Nate Diaz.  Also in action is the TUF 7 winner Amir Sadollah and TUF 8 king Efrain Escudero.

WEC 46 – Varner VS. Henderson takes place this Sunday, January 10th in Sacramento, CA.  The main event features a WEC Lightweight title unification bout between champion Jamie Varner and interim champ Ben Henderson.  Former WEC Featherweight champions Urijah Faber and Mike Brown are also looking to make their way back up the ladder for a future fight with Jose Aldo.

UFC 108 – Evans VS. Silva takes place Saturday, January 2nd in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The UFC’s first card of the new decade has certainly been hit with some devastating blows, with several main events, main card fights and undercard fights getting canceled or changed.  I believe this fight still has several intriguing matchups that will cater to all walks of MMA fan…so don’t write it off yet!

For my UFC 108 predictions, I am only going to cover the fights that I believe have betting value. Because of the generally well placed lines and unpredictability of UFC 108, only three fights have betting value in my opinion.  Here are those fights and official analysis from MMAMoneyLine. Strikeforce - Evolution

Strikeforce – Evolution takes place this Saturday in San Jose, California.  The main event features the return of fighter-turned thespian-turned actor Cung Le.  He will be squaring off against UFC and Strikeforce vet Scott “Hands Of Steel” Smith.  In the co-main event, the Strikeforce Lightweight title will be unified when champion Josh Thomson fights interim champion Gilbert Melendez.  Here are MMAMoneyLine’s official predictions for this weekends Strikeforce show. WEC 45 - Cerrone VS. Ratcliff

WEC 45 – Cerrone VS. Ratcliff takes place this Saturday, December 19th, in Las Vegas.  In the main event, former WEC Lightweight champion Donald Cerrone will be looking to rebound from his loss to Ben Henderson against Ed Ratcliff.  Also on the main card, a bantamweight battle pitting Takeya Mizugaki against Scott Jorgensen.  WEC 45 also marks the debut of IFL standout Chris Horodecki.  Here are my predictions for the main card, and my betting advice for attractive undercard fights. UFC 107 – Penn VS. Sanchez takes place this Saturday, December 12th in Memphis, Tennessee.  The main event features a Lightweight title challenge as 155 pound champion BJ Penn defends his belt against Diego Sanchez.  A Heavyweight “battle of styles” will also be on the card, as Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ace Frank Mir takes on the powerful kickboxing of Cheick Kongo.  Here are MMAMoneyLine’s official predictions for the full UFC 107 card. The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale concludes the latest installment of the UFC’s groundbreaking reality competiton.  The finale takes place this Saturday, December 5th, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  A UFC contract will be up for grabs in the main event when Brendan Schaub squares off with former IFL champion Roy “Big Country” Nelson.  An intrigiung Light Heavyweight matchup between Jon Jones and Matt Hamill will be the finale’s co main event.  Here are MMAMoneyLine’s predictions for the full Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale. UFC 106 – Ortiz VS. Griffin II takes place this Saturday, November 21st, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The main event will be a rematch between two former UFC Light Heavyweight champions in Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin.  Also on the main card, a Welterweight contest with title shot ramifications will take place between Josh Koscheck and Anthony “Rumble” Johnson.  UFC 106 also marks the UFC debut of highly regarded Light Heavyweight fighter, Antonio Rogerio “Minotoro” Nogueira, not to mention the UFC comeback fight for a certain “New York Bad Ass”.  Here is MMAMoneyLine’s analysis, fight predictions and betting advice for UFC 106. UFC Fight Night 19 takes place this Wednesday, September 16th in Oklahoma City.  UFN 19 is going to have serious ramifications in the UFC’s Lightweight division, with several fights taking place at 155 lbs.  The main event pits two alums of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series against one another, as Nate Diaz takes on Melvin Guillard.  The co-main event will be the return of Sports Illustrated poster boy, Roger Huerta, against rising Lightweight, Gray Maynard.

Carlos Condit, Steve Cantwell, Brian Stann, Nate Quarry, CB Dollaway, Sam Stout and Brock Larson will also be competing, looking to further themselves in their respective divisions.  Here are MMAMoneyLine’s picks for UFC Fight Night 19. (more…)

UFC 102:  “Couture VS. Nogueira” takes place this Saturday, August 29th, at the Rose Garden in Portland, Oregon.  It’s main event will pit two of the best Heavyweight mixed martial artists in history against each other.  Former UFC Heavyweight and Light Heavyweight champion, Randy Couture, will look to get back into title contention when he squares off against former Pride FC and UFC Interim Heavyweight champion Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira.

The UFC 102 card also features what may very well be a Middleweight #1 contender fight between BJJ ace Demian Maia and ex-”King Of Pancrase” Nate Marquardt.  In addition, Keith Jardine, Brandon Vera, Thiago Silva, Krzysztof Soszynski and Chris Leben will also be inside the octagon this weekend in the Pacific Northwest.

There are some very interesting fights on this card from a betting perspective.  Several of the fights on this card have been subjects of passionate debate.  With that being said, there is some money to be made on this UFC event.  Without further adeiu, here are my predictions and betting advice for UFC 102.

Strikeforce’s possibly cursed “Carano VS. Cyborg” event will be taking place this Saturday, August 15th in San Jose, CA.  It will be headlined by possibly the biggest fight in the history of women’s MMA:  Gina Carano against Cris “Cyborg” Santos.  Strikeforce’s Light Heavyweight championship will also be up for grabs as Renato “Babalu” Sobral defends his title against Gegard Mousasi.  Mitsuhiro Ishida will also be stepping in for an injured Josh Thomson to get a shot at Strikeforce’s interim Lightweight title against Gilbert Melendez.  Here are my predictions for the main card and the Kyle/Werdum fight.
